The August 22, 23, and 29 workshops will be held at the Oregon City Studio.
A Few Things to Know Before You Come
The studio and garden area are accessed by stairs, so participants will need to be comfortable navigating steps to reach the workshop space.
Wire wrapping can involve some fairly fine detail. I’ll have the tools and materials needed for the project, but if you normally use reading glasses, magnification, a lighted magnifier, or another visual aid for close work, please feel free to bring your own. Using the magnification you’re already comfortable with can make the experience much more enjoyable.
And because crafting should be fun, adult participants are welcome to bring an adult beverage to enjoy during the workshop. Bring your favorite wine, beer, cider, or other beverage and settle in for a creative afternoon or evening.
No Experience Necessary
These workshops are meant to be approachable and enjoyable. You do not need previous wire-wrapping or jewelry-making experience. I’ll walk you through the process, and there is always room to add your own style along the way.
One of my favorite things about handmade work is that no two pieces turn out exactly alike. Your finished piece will be something you created yourself—and something distinctly yours.
Whether you come with a friend or arrive ready to meet some new creative people, I hope you’ll leave with a finished project, a new skill, and a little inspiration.
Come create with Iron Feather Designs this August.
